It all started with a passion, a burden, a burning desire, an ache in my heart. I could no longer sit and watch my three beautiful, healthy children playing, thriving, growing in the love and care we give them without being reminded of the millions of children who don't have that luxury. Children who desperately need love, attention, food, clothes, an education, a smile, a hug, a simple chance at life.
The vision behind "Full of Hope Photography" is orphan care. My logo paints the story of the vision- the flower growing out of the heart represents the hope that grows in the orphans' hearts as we love and care for them.
There is so much brokenness in this world, I wanted to do something more. At least 50% of all profits from Full of Hope Photography go towards orphan care in Liberia and Ukraine. My husband and I serve on the board of directors of a mission in Liberia, Light Evangelism Ministry, and my family is heavily involved in missions in Ukraine. My heart aches every time I think about the precious orphans associated with both of these missions. Little lives that can be changed forever, but they need support to make that possible. They need someone to feed their little tummies that have never felt"full". They need someone to buy them their first pair of shoes. They need someone to help them to be able to go to school. There are people overseas already, giving up the comfort and safety of their own lives, serving in dire circumstances, being the hands and feet of Jesus, meeting not only physical needs, but spiritual needs as well. But they need support to keep doing what they have sacrificed their entire lives to do.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to be part of the greater good, the reason we were all created? Wouldn't it be great if you could have timeless, heirloom quality photos of your family, but also be helping others in the process?
When you book a session with me, you will not only be getting beautiful photographs of your family, you will also have a part in caring for those less fortunate.
"We care for orphans not because we are the rescuers, but because we are the rescued." -David Platt
